Who he is
Kathan is a strategy professional with 8 years of experience in the consumer domain. His business and commerce acumen, combined with his deep understanding of marketing and technology, has led him to deliver sustained value across businesses. Having worked with brands from industries such as, CPG, technology, durables, pharmaceutical, media and auto, Kathan has a solid grounding in Indian consumer behaviour across all product groups.
Kathan spent half of his career working with multinational brands such as Red Bull, PediaSure, Discovery, ACT II, etc; and the other half working with early-stage startups in the artificial intelligence, ecommerce and brand augmentation spaces. On one hand he built and executed creative marketing strategies for established products, while on the other hand he scaled up businesses from ground up, driving product development, revenue and operations. Kathan’s entrepreneurial journey started in 2012, when he cofounded Spiffed Digital to address the lack of brand engagement through innovative media solutions.
Kathan has completed his MBA from Cass Business School, University of London and his undergrad business degree from Narsee Monjee College.
Be it quitting a successful job to startup in a space that he had no experience in, or taking up unfamiliar challenges to broaden his horizons, Kathan thrives on uncertainty. He fuels his thirst for adventure through jumping off planes and bridges, riding through forests and skiing down mountains.
