Soothe Health Care operates in the Women Hygiene space, a potential Rs. 21,000 crore opportunity in India. The sector is a duopoly with J&J and P&G currently controlling the market. However, the industry has seen limited innovation and offers potential to create a differentiated product. Soothe owns the brand “Paree” which is India’s first chemical-free sanitary napkin. They also have a strong new product funnel in place. Saina Nehwal is the brand ambassador and also an investor in the company. Paree currently has a reach of 3,000+ pharmacies, retail outlets and leading ecommerce portals in India. They have strong distribution tie-ups in place with players like Walmart, ITC, etc which will add the much needed push.

Sahil Dharia, Founder and CEO. Sahil has over 15 years of experience in setting and scaling up businesses. He started his career on the ‘buy-side’ in New York at UBS Investment Bank & then managed the high visibility derivatives desk at Reuters, New York. Sahil helped set-up & rapidly scale Reuters, Bangalore to peak size with emphasis on building management depth. His success in building high performance teams to deliver results, catapulted him among the youngest in management roles across functions in a fast-tracked career in high-growth as well as mature geographies. Sahil has experience leading post-merger strategic change management programs & at time of founding Soothe was Global Head of Operations at Reuters. Sahil is a FICCI young leader, a charter member at TiE & visiting faculty at leading educational institutes. Sahil studied Economics at the Zicklin School of Business, New York.
